Spanish Curriculum

SPANISH
Teacher: Ms. Mariana Fernandez

Elementary School (Grades 4 & 5)

Studies show early exposure to foreign languages produces long term cognitive and academic benefits.  Elementary students have a unique ability to absorb language and learn pronunciation.  This course is based on giving the students a wide variety of activities and teaching methods that keep students interested in learning Spanish.  This course is not just an introduction to Spanish; it’s an adventure for the students.

Middle School (Grades 6 – 8)

This course provides a solid foundation for reading, speaking, writing, and understanding Spanish.  It helps the students to cultivate a passion for the language through exposure to culture and dynamic experiences of real people and real situations.  Good teaching techniques are used to turn activities into rigorous lessons in grammar, communication, and vocabulary.
