GRADE 5 CURRICULUM Teachers: Ms. Tracey Greenberg and Mr. Roy O'Neill
Ballet
Tech's fifth grade curriculum is comprehensive in nature and provides
students with well-rounded academic instruction in the areas of English
Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. Students also
receive instruction in Spanish, Voice, and Visual Arts. We follow the
New York City Department of Education’s curriculum and standards and
incorporate the workshop model into our daily classroom routine.
Students are provided with opportunities to express themselves as
individual learners in the classroom, as we subscribe to a progressive
philosophy of multiple intelligences. Our learning environment is such
that students feel comfortable to share their thoughts and take
academic risks. We firmly believe that when provided with structure, support, and guidance; success is inevitable.
